At InPubEvents we have carefully designed games to last for around 4 hours. The ideal gaming tournament structure is set as the default in the app.
With our structure we increase player time and experience, which in turn increases dwell time in your venue, this leads to a much higher potential revenue for your business. It is a mutually beneficial relationship, the player has a better experience and the pub has more opportunity to earn revenue.
Gaming At A Glance
A gaming knockout tournament is a fast-paced, competitive and social event where players compete head-to-head until only one player remains. It’s simple to enter, easy to follow and great for players of all abilities.
Players are randomly drawn into a tournament bracket. Each match is played one-on-one. The winner progresses to the next round. The loser is eliminated. The tournament continues until a champion is crowned.
How It Works - Before play begins, all entrants are registered. Names are drawn at random to create the first round matchups.
Matches - Each game is a race on a social game like Mario Kart, players can compete as part of a team or individually.
Match Format - Upto 3 races per player is ideal and the best of format works well to extend the event for everyone
Best of Format - Matches may be:
- Best of 3 legs
- Best of 5 legs
- Longer for semi-finals and finals
Tournament Structure - Early Rounds, Quick races to keep the competition moving.
Quarter-Finals -The final eight players compete.
Semi-Finals - The last four battle for a place in the final.
Final - The last two players compete to become tournament champion.
Scoring & Rules -A referee or scorekeeper may be present to mark scores and confirm finishes. Generally 1 point is awarded for each win with the player getting to 2 points goes through to the next round.
Prizes - This is your choice but prizes are normally awarded to:
- The Winner
- Runner-Up
- Sometimes Semi-Finalists
