At InPubEvents we have carefully designed games to last for around 4 hours. The ideal darts tournament structure is set as the default in the app.
With our structure we increase player time and experience, which in turn increases dwell time in your venue, this leads to a much higher potential revenue for your business. It is a mutually beneficial relationship, the player has a better experience and the pub has more opportunity to earn revenue.
Darts At A Glance
A darts knockout tournament is a fast-paced, competitive and social event where players compete head-to-head until only one player remains. It’s simple to enter, easy to follow and great for players of all abilities.
Players are randomly drawn into a tournament bracket. Each match is played one-on-one. The winner progresses to the next round. The loser is eliminated. The tournament continues until a champion is crowned.
How It Works - Before play begins, all entrants are registered. Names are drawn at random to create the first round matchups.
Matches - Each match is played live at your venue over a set format (for example: Best of 3 legs or First to 2 legs). Standard starting score is usually 501. Players take turns throwing three darts each. The aim is to reduce your score to exactly zero. To win a leg, players must finish on a double.
Match Format - 501 Game, Each player starts on 501 points. Scores are reduced with each visit to the board.
Double Finish - The final dart must land in a double segment to win the leg.
Best of Format - Matches may be:
- Best of 3 legs
- Best of 5 legs
- Longer for semi-finals and finals
Tournament Structure - Early Rounds, Quick matches to keep the competition moving.
Quarter-Finals -The final eight players compete.
Semi-Finals - The last four battle for a place in the final.
Final - The last two players compete to become tournament champion.
Scoring & Rules -Players must throw from behind the oche line. Any darts thrown after a bust do not count. If a player scores more than required to finish, the score resets to the previous total for that visit. A referee or scorekeeper may be present to mark scores and confirm finishes.
Prizes - This is your choice but prizes are normally awarded to:
- The Winner
- Runner-Up
- Sometimes Semi-Finalists
